Admissions

You must be admitted to a TN eCampus community college or university partner institution to register for a TN eCampus class.

Registration

You register for TN eCampus classes through your home campus’s course registration system.

Term-Length

TN eCampus offers 4 term-length options. However, not all partner institutions offer all classes or term lengths. These term-length options are:

  • Full-term, 15-week classes (Section R50)
  • 1st term, 7-week classes (Section R01)
  • 2nd term, 7-week classes (Section R25)
  • Late start, 10-week classes (Section R35)

Format

TN eCampus classes are 100% online and asynchronous. There are no specific meeting times or days. However, these are not on-demand classes. Students are expected to attend and participate in classes on a regular basis. Some courses may require proctored midterm or final exams; however, most of these can still be done completely online.

Tuition & Fees

All tuition and fees are set by your home campus and paid through your home campus’s business office.

Financial Aid

All financial aid and related issues are managed by your home campus.

Textbooks

In most cases, textbooks for TN eCampus can be purchased from the TN eCampus Virtual Bookstore. However, the Virtual Bookstore cannot apply financial aid to purchases. For students at community colleges and universities with Follett campus bookstores, they may contact their campus bookstore to order their TN eCampus course materials with Veterans’ Affairs benefits as long as they let the bookstore know they are specifically ordering materials for TN eCampus sections. Course materials for the same course on-campus and at TN eCampus may differ.

  • Classes that require a Pearson MyLab, McGraw-Hill Connect, or Cengage e-textbook and access code will usually provide a free 14-day trial that can be accessed through your class.
  • The 14-day trial period begins on the first day of class, not the first day you log in to your class.
  • You can purchase full access directly through your class at any time, even after the trial period ends.

Attendance

Students in TN eCampus classes are required to regularly attend classes and complete the Student Participation Survey, which is only available during the first 14 days of class, to officially record their attendance. If this survey is not completed, students risk being purged from classes by their home campus and/or not receiving their financial aid award.

Exams

Virtual proctoring for TN eCampus classes is provided for the classes that require proctoring. The list of classes usually requiring proctoring are listed here: Is my exam proctored? – TN eCampus.

Course Catalog

The TN eCampus Course Catalog provides a list of classes offered on a regular basis. Please be aware that not all schools offer all classes. You should check your school’s course offerings to ensure the class you want is available to you.

Course Syllabi

TN eCampus maintains a directory of the most current course syllabi in our Syllabus Library. The syllabi do not include instructor’s contact information since instructors can change from semester to semester.

Course Log-in Site

TN eCampus has its own unique log-in website for our classes on the D2L Brightspace platform. This course website is different from the website used by your home campus for their online classes and has a unique username and password. To access the TN eCampus Brightspace platform, go to: https://gotoclass.tnecampus.org/
