Master of Professional Studies - MPS
The Master of Professional Studies (MPS) is a professionally-oriented online program that responds to the dynamic needs of students working in or preparing for rapidly changing professional environments and expectations. In this program of interdisciplinary graduate studies, students make connections between various professional fields and traditional social science disciplines.
The program requires completion of 30 semester credit hours (10 courses). Core courses cover topics in leadership, ethics, diversity, research methods, and organizational strategy. Courses in the concentration cover various topics in leadership theory, organizational structure and change, globalization, communication, and strategic planning and assessment.
The Master of Professional Studies (MPS) program is designed for working adults who wish to pursue graduate professional studies that combine two or more disciplines. Because the MPS student's academic needs and interests are multidisciplinary, they are not generally served by traditional programs.
Professionals that might be served by the MPS program include, but are not limited to, individuals working in commerce, information technology, mass media, law enforcement, government, social services, health care, and education.
