Associate of Arts - AA
Program Description
The purpose of the general education core is to ensure that college students have the broad knowledge and skills to become lifelong learners in a global community that will continue to change. The general education core courses emphasize a breadth of understanding and not a set of skills, techniques or procedures associated with a specific occupation or profession.
Tennessee Transfer Pathways (TTP)
If you follow a Tennessee Transfer Pathway (TTP), the courses in your path will transfer to all TBR and most UT system schools as well as many private institutions. Visit http://www.tntransferpathway.org/ for more information. Most of the core courses (41 semester hours) and emphasis courses (19 semester hours or more depending upon the Transfer Pathway chosen) are available via online delivery.
This program is designed for students who intend to transfer to 4-year institutions of higher education to complete requirements for Bachelor of Arts degrees. Those students desiring to transfer upon completion of the Associate of Arts degree should consult an academic advisor and refer to the 4-year institution catalog before beginning a Tennessee Transfer Path program.
