Opened in 1966, the Tennessee College of Applied Technology at Livingston is the tenth of twenty-six schools built to offer occupational training to as many Tennesseans as possible. The mission of TCAT Livingston is to serve as the premier supplier of workforce development throughout the Upper Cumberland area primarily in the counties of Overton, Clay, Fentress, Pickett, Putnam and Jackson. The school's main campus is approximately 20 miles northeast of Cookeville, situated halfway between Nashville and Knoxville.
