Community Colleges

TBR logo The 13 community colleges in the Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) system comprise all two-year public institutions in Tennessee. The colleges offer two-year university parallel degree programs which transfer in full to four-year institutions, two-year applied science degree programs which prepare students for immediate employment in specialized career areas, and technical certificates which can prepare students for proficiency in particular occupations.

Affordable, convenient and personal – TBR’s community colleges offer an extensive array of online academic programs to prepare students for success. Community college students are a diverse group of individuals with varying interests and needs. Your online classes may be comprised of working moms trying to juggle a family and a career, high school students taking college courses for dual credit, displaced workers seeking a fresh start, empty nesters looking to re-enter the workforce, or career professionals interested in adding new skills and credentials to their resume.

TBR’s community colleges are poised to be your first step towards job readiness, greater earnings potential, a better quality of life or continued education at a four-year university. Our campuses and programs create the opportunity for all Tennesseans, regardless of age or income, to attend college.
